Wired, Wireless & Hybrid Alarm System Packages

The wiring architecture comes first. HJ then combines the panel, zones, detectors, sirens, communication, verification, installation and commissioning into a complete alarm system matched to the property and response procedure.

Package Level 01

Choose the wiring architecture first

Wireless, wired and hybrid systems can use similar detector functions. The decision depends on building stage, cable routes, radio coverage, scale, maintenance and resilience.

Wireless Alarm System Package

Minimal new cabling

Connects the panel and compatible detectors by secure wireless communication, with mains and battery requirements still planned.

Best for
Completed homes, shops and offices where new detector cabling would be disruptive.
Complete scope
Wireless panel/hub, selected PIR and contacts, keypad/keyfob as required, siren, communication/app setup, battery and coverage survey, zone naming, tests and handover.
Confirm before quotation
Wireless does not mean maintenance-free. Signal paths, interference, batteries, repeaters and device supervision must be checked.

Wired Alarm System Package

Dedicated cabling

Connects detectors and devices through planned alarm wiring for stable, supervised zones.

Best for
New builds, renovations, factories, offices and sites where cable routes are available.
Complete scope
Wired panel, zone cabling, selected detectors, keypad, indoor/outdoor sounder where required, backup power, communication, tamper and zone tests, labelling and handover.
Confirm before quotation
Cable routes, zone expansion, voltage drop, tamper protection and future access must be planned before finishes are closed.

Hybrid Wired + Wireless Alarm Package

Flexible expansion

Uses wired zones where practical and compatible wireless devices where cabling is difficult or future flexibility is needed.

Best for
Larger or phased properties, upgrades and sites with a mixture of new and existing areas.
Complete scope
Hybrid panel, wired and wireless zones, compatible receiver/repeater where required, detectors, sirens, communication, backup power, unified app/management setup and commissioning.
Confirm before quotation
Hybrid does not mean every wired and wireless device is interchangeable. Panel capacity, protocol and model compatibility must be confirmed.

Detection & Response Blueprint

How alarm zones, verification and agreed response work together

Wireless, wired and hybrid are alternative architectures. Detector types are selected zone by zone; App paths and visual verification depend on the approved platform and communication service.

Hikvision System Installation in Kuching, Sarawak

Hikvision AX PRO detectors, hub logic and the authorised App path form a separate alarm-and-detection scope.

Electric Fence Installation in Sarawak

A monitored electric-fence scope is treated as perimeter detection and deterrence with an agreed warning or verification path.

Scope condition: Electric fence is not included in every alarm package; energiser, zones, warning and integration are confirmed on site.

Package Level 02

Detection devices are selected zone by zone

A complete alarm package combines detector types around doors, windows, rooms, perimeters and the operational consequence of an alarm.

PIR, Pet-Immune & Dual-Tech Detection

Movement

Detects movement in a protected area using the detector type and placement suited to the room.

Best for
Internal spaces, corridors, shops, offices and selected outdoor zones.
Complete scope
Detector selection, mounting, pet/environment review, coverage test and zone setup.
Confirm before quotation
Airflow, heat, sunlight, pets, moving objects and mounting height can affect false-alarm performance.

Door, Window, Glass & Shock Detection

Entry point

Detects an opening, glass event or impact before or as an intruder enters.

Best for
External doors, accessible windows, shutters and vulnerable surfaces.
Complete scope
Magnetic contact, glass-break or shock detector where appropriate, cabling/wireless link, zone rule and functional test.
Confirm before quotation
One detector type does not suit every material, frame, glass area or vibration environment.

Outdoor, Panic & Environmental Detection

Extended protection

Adds outdoor/perimeter zones, panic buttons or compatible smoke, water, gas or temperature alerts where required.

Best for
Sites that need earlier warning or non-intrusion condition alerts.
Complete scope
Selected compatible sensors, zone priority, alert behaviour, test and user training.
Confirm before quotation
Auxiliary environmental sensors do not automatically replace a certified fire, gas or life-safety system required by the relevant authority.
Package Level 03

Siren, app notification and verification define the response

Detection is useful only when the right person receives a clear event and knows what to do next.

Panel, Keypad, Siren & Panic

Local response

Arms/disarms the site and produces the agreed local warning or emergency action.

Best for
Every alarm package.
Complete scope
Panel/hub, keypad/tag/keyfob where required, indoor/outdoor siren or strobe, panic workflow and user codes.
Confirm before quotation
Sound level, location, neighbours, panic behaviour and user permissions must be agreed.

App Alert & Communication Path

Remote notice

Sends events through the supported IP, Wi-Fi or mobile communication path to authorised users or an agreed receiver.

Best for
Owners and teams who need off-site awareness.
Complete scope
Communication setup, authorised accounts, event naming, notification test and backup-path review where specified.
Confirm before quotation
App notification depends on connectivity, service availability and phone settings; it is not the same as guaranteed emergency response.

PIR-Camera & CCTV Verification

Confirm event

Adds an image/video verification path or links the event to compatible CCTV so users can assess what happened.

Best for
Sites where faster confirmation can improve response and reduce uncertainty.
Complete scope
Compatible verification device or integration, event association, permissions, clip/image test and handover.
Confirm before quotation
Verification capability varies by panel, detector, camera and platform. HJ confirms the complete path before quotation.
Verified Scope

Project proof without invented package claims

HJ currently has no public named project page that verifies an alarm-specific scope. The package page therefore links to the honest Alarm filter, which shows no public match instead of attaching an unrelated project. A verified case can be added when publishable scope is available.

Clear Answers

Package selection questions

Use these answers to confirm the system boundary before model selection or quotation.

Which is better: wired or wireless alarm?

Wireless is often less disruptive in a completed property; wired systems suit planned cable routes and larger structured installations. Hybrid combines both. The correct choice depends on building stage, scale, coverage, maintenance and expansion.

What is included in a complete HJ alarm package?

The package can include the panel, selected wired or wireless zones, detectors, keypad or keyfob, sirens, communication/app setup, backup power, cabling where required, zone naming, testing, user handover and maintenance planning.

Can an alarm integrate with CCTV?

Yes where the selected alarm, camera and platform support the required event or verification workflow. HJ defines and tests the complete path rather than assuming compatibility from brand alone.

Does wireless mean no wires and no maintenance?

No. The hub and some devices still require power, radio coverage must be surveyed, and detector/siren batteries need inspection and replacement over time.

Terminology checked against Hikvision Alarm Products and Hikvision AX Hybrid PRO. Exact current models, regional availability and supply remain subject to the ISD catalogue.
