What We Collect
When you contact us via our WhatsApp enquiry forms, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, phone number, property area/location, site address or landmark, and the service you're enquiring about. On the Site Assessment form, you may optionally press “Use My Current GPS Location” and grant browser permission to provide latitude, longitude and the device-reported accuracy. If you send us photos of your property, we receive those images directly through WhatsApp.
How We Use It
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, schedule site surveys and manage service history. We do not sell or rent your personal data. Phone numbers, names, form text and WhatsApp messages are not included in the anonymous website click counter.
How Enquiries Are Sent
When the website enquiry service is available, the form first saves the details you explicitly submit into HJ One, our access-controlled customer and enquiry system, then opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message so you can send photos or more detail. If the website service is unavailable, the page says so and still lets you continue through WhatsApp. Please refer to WhatsApp's own privacy policy for messages sent through that platform.
Website Measurement and Privacy Choices
Essential storage supports privacy information and enquiry delivery. HJ also keeps anonymous first-party totals for page views and clicks on website links and buttons. These counter records contain the page path, a short button label and the click type; they do not contain a customer name, phone number, WhatsApp message or form content. The counter is stored inside HJ One.
When you select “Allow measurement”, HJ also uses consented first-party measurement and a Google Ads tag to measure phone-link clicks, WhatsApp-link clicks and enquiries confirmed by our website service. Google may receive the event type, an opaque event identifier, page URL, advertising click identifiers, cookie identifiers and network/device information needed for measurement. We do not send customer names, telephone numbers, form contents, WhatsApp messages, site addresses or GPS coordinates in these conversion events. Advertising personalisation and enhanced conversions are disabled in this website integration; Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not connected.
Select “Essential only” to use the website and send enquiries without enabling optional measurement. You can change your choice using “Privacy choices” on any page. Optional Google tags are loaded only after permission. A previous “Continue” choice is not treated as permission for Google Ads measurement. For how Google processes information, see Google’s information about partner sites.
Enquiry and Lead Outcomes
HJ One keeps website enquiry and ticket records separately from anonymous page and click totals. Only an authorised staff member can mark an enquiry as valid, quoted or won. Google Ads records phone and WhatsApp clicks as secondary contact actions. A confirmed website enquiry is a primary conversion, recorded only after the website service accepts the form. Neither a click nor a submitted enquiry means that a sale has been won. With measurement permission, advertising click identifiers and campaign details help attribute enquiries to their source.
Photos and Site Assessment Submissions
If you send property photos for a site assessment or quotation, we use them solely to prepare your assessment and quote. We do not publish customer-submitted photos publicly without your separate, explicit consent.
GPS is optional and is never requested automatically when the page loads. Your browser asks for location only after you press the GPS button, and you can enter the site address manually instead. A captured location stays in the form until you submit or clear it; on submission it is included in the access-controlled HJ One enquiry record and the WhatsApp message prepared for your review. Precise coordinates, address text and device-reported accuracy are not sent to advertising or website-analytics platforms. The Google Maps link is generated locally; Google receives the coordinates only if you choose to open that link.
Data Retention
We retain enquiry and customer information for as long as needed to deliver services, respond to warranty or maintenance matters, and meet business or legal record-keeping obligations. Website measurement records are configured for a maximum reporting window of 395 days unless a shorter operational or legal period applies. We periodically remove records that are no longer needed.
Your Rights
Under the PDPA, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Contact us at admin@hjsecurity.com.my to make a request.
You may also request deletion of personal data held by HJ, including information received through website enquiries, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Instagram where we hold it. Email admin@hjsecurity.com.my with the subject “Personal data deletion request”, or follow our Data Deletion Instructions. HJ staff will review your request and may need limited information to verify your identity. Any information that needs to be retained, and the reason and scope of retention, will be explained in the response. This process concerns HJ-held records, not deletion of your Meta account.
