Barrier Gate & Parking System Packages

LPR, UHF, short-range cards and tickets are vehicle authentication methods—not barrier gate types. HJ combines the selected method with the barrier, safety detection, controller, power, network, software and commissioning as one complete lane system.

HJ Master Family · SmartGate

Choose the gate-automation bundle before adding parking functions

HJ SmartGate names the complete entrance bundle around a motorised gate. LPR, UHF, card, QR and ticket payment are separate vehicle-identification or parking variants and are included only when the approved scope says so.

Complete Lane Blueprint

How vehicle identification, lane safety and release work together

The barrier controls the lane. LPR, UHF, card, QR and tickets are alternative identification or parking workflows—not automatic inclusions in every gate package.

Autogate, Autodoor & Barrier Gate Installation in Kuching

The physical gate, barrier or separately designed automatic-door entrance is commissioned with its applicable safety detection and verified release path.

Highlighted diagram pathVehicle Identity Rules & Reports Entry / Exit

LPR Parking System Installation in Kuching, Sarawak

LPR is the vehicle-identification layer; lane rules, entry or exit equipment and barrier release remain separately designed parts of the workflow.

Package Level 01

Choose how each vehicle is identified and released

The barrier is the lane-control device. The package is defined by who may enter, how visitors are handled, whether fees apply and what must be recorded.

LPR / ANPR Barrier Gate Package

Plate recognition

Reads registered vehicle plates and releases the barrier according to whitelist, visitor or parking rules.

Best for
Condominiums, factories, offices and commercial car parks with regular vehicles.
Complete scope
LPR/ANPR camera, controller/software, barrier gate, safety radar or loop, network/power, whitelist setup, entry/exit records, testing and handover.
Confirm before quotation
Plate performance depends on lane angle, distance, speed, lighting and plate condition. HJ surveys the lane before model selection.

UHF Long-Range Vehicle Access Package

Hands-free tag

Reads an authorised UHF vehicle tag before the car reaches the barrier, without requiring the driver to lower the window.

Best for
Residents, staff, fleet vehicles and season users with controlled tag issuance.
Complete scope
UHF reader, vehicle tags/cards, controller, barrier, safety detector, power/network, enrolment rules, read-zone tuning and commissioning.
Confirm before quotation
Reader position and tag placement control the read zone. Long range must not accidentally read vehicles in another lane.

Short-Range Card & QR Vehicle Access Package

Present credential

The driver presents a card, keyfob or QR credential at the entrance reader before the barrier is released.

Best for
Guarded entrances, smaller compounds and visitor flows where deliberate credential presentation is acceptable.
Complete scope
Card/QR reader, credentials or visitor workflow, controller, barrier, safety detector, pedestal where required, cabling, enrolment and handover.
Confirm before quotation
Short-range access creates a stopping point. Lane width, reader height, weather protection and visitor exceptions must be designed.

Ticket Entry, Exit & Payment Package

Fee-based parking

Issues or records a temporary parking credential, calculates fees and validates release at the exit.

Best for
Commercial car parks, shopping sites and visitor parking that requires time-based charging or validation.
Complete scope
Entrance/exit station, ticket or credential workflow, barrier and safety system, fee rules, payment or cashier workflow, receipt/validation option, software, reports and commissioning.
Confirm before quotation
Payment method, local acquiring support, lost-ticket policy, discounts, tax/receipt workflow and operator procedures must be confirmed before final design.

Guardhouse, Intercom & Manual Release Package

Assisted entry

Allows a guard or remote operator to verify a visitor and release the lane when automated credentials do not apply.

Best for
Mixed resident/visitor sites and entrances that need exception handling.
Complete scope
Barrier, safety device, release control, intercom or call point where required, event/visitor procedure, manual override and training.
Confirm before quotation
Manual release must still preserve safety, authorisation and an agreed record or visitor process.
Package Level 02

Barrier hardware and vehicle safety are part of every package

A reader can identify a vehicle, but the lane still needs a correctly sized barrier, vehicle detection and fail-safe operating procedure.

Boom Barrier & Controller

Lane control

Controls vehicle passage with an arm and duty cycle suited to the expected traffic.

Best for
Car parks, factories, compounds and guarded entrances.
Complete scope
Barrier mechanism, appropriate boom arm, controller, foundation/power coordination and manual release.
Confirm before quotation
Arm length, duty cycle, wind loading, speed and available island space affect equipment selection.

Radar, Loop & Safety Detection

Anti-fall

Detects the vehicle position so the barrier does not close onto an occupied lane.

Best for
Every automated vehicle lane.
Complete scope
Anti-fall/anti-smash radar or loop detector, trigger logic, safety testing and fail-state checks.
Confirm before quotation
The detector must be positioned and tuned for the actual lane, motorcycles and tailgating risk.

Screen, Signal, Intercom & Override

Driver interface

Communicates access status and provides a controlled exception path when a vehicle cannot enter normally.

Best for
Busy, unattended or fee-based lanes.
Complete scope
LED or signal light where required, voice/intercom option, emergency button/manual release and operator workflow.
Confirm before quotation
Every exception path needs an authorised action and a safe vehicle-release procedure.
Package Level 03

Ticketing, payment and parking operations

Fee-based parking is an operating system, not just a payment machine. HJ confirms the entrance, exit, tariff, discount, exception and reporting workflow before configuration.

Entrance & Exit Stations

Transaction point

Collect entry/exit data and connect cameras, readers, barrier control and driver prompts.

Best for
Ticket, card or mixed-authentication parking lanes.
Complete scope
Station hardware, connected peripherals, control software, lane logic and acceptance testing.
Confirm before quotation
The station must be matched to the software platform, credential and local payment workflow.

Exit Pay, Cashier & Self-Payment

Collection

Supports the selected payment and validation flow before or at exit.

Best for
Commercial parking with temporary users.
Complete scope
Configured fee workflow, supported payment/cashier interface, validation, receipt option and operator training.
Confirm before quotation
Payment channel availability and merchant integration are confirmed separately; HJ will not publish unsupported payment claims.

Fees, Discounts, Coupons & Reports

Operations

Applies rules for temporary, season, visitor or special vehicles and keeps transaction records.

Best for
Operators who need accountable revenue and exception handling.
Complete scope
Tariff setup, time rules, discounts/coupons where supported, vehicle groups, reports and handover documentation.
Confirm before quotation
Policies must be supplied and approved by the site operator before commissioning.
Verified Scope

Project proof without invented package claims

The public cases verify barrier-gate scope only. They do not prove LPR, UHF, short-range card, QR or ticket-payment deployment. HJ will add those proof links only when an appropriate public case is available.

Clear Answers

Package selection questions

Use these answers to confirm the system boundary before model selection or quotation.

Is LPR a type of barrier gate?

No. LPR or ANPR is one way to identify a vehicle. The barrier gate physically controls the lane; radar, loop or other safety detection helps prevent unsafe closing.

What is the difference between long-range and short-range readers?

A UHF long-range reader detects an authorised vehicle tag before the car reaches the barrier. A short-range card or QR reader requires the driver to stop and present the credential close to the reader.

What does a ticket exit and payment package include?

It can include entrance and exit stations, barrier and safety devices, ticket or credential handling, fee rules, cashier or supported self-payment workflow, validation, reports, commissioning and staff handover. The final payment method must be confirmed for the site.

Can one lane use LPR and a card or QR backup?

Yes, subject to platform compatibility and the approved release rules. HJ designs the primary and fallback methods so exceptions do not bypass safety or authorisation.
