Security Technology & Integration

We're an ELV installation company first — but the systems we install today are genuinely smarter than a decade ago. Here's how we think about the technology behind CCTV, access control, alarm and network infrastructure.

Detection & Recognition

AI-Enabled CCTV & LPR

Modern CCTV cameras and NVRs from brands like Hikvision and Dahua include built-in AI detection — line-crossing alerts, intrusion-zone triggers, and person/vehicle classification — which cuts down on the false alerts that plague older motion-only systems. For vehicle access, LPR (licence plate recognition) reads a plate automatically to open a barrier, useful for factories, condos and commercial carparks with regular traffic.

  • Line-crossing and intrusion-zone detection
  • Person vs. vehicle classification to reduce false alerts
  • LPR/ANPR for automated vehicle access

System Integration

We design CCTV, access control, alarm and perimeter systems to work together where practical:

  • Alarm triggers linked to relevant camera coverage
  • Electric fence breach alerts tied to alarm and CCTV
  • Video intercom linked to autogate or door-strike release
Infrastructure

The Network Behind It All

Every system on this page depends on solid underlying infrastructure — this is why we treat network setup as part of the same job, not a separate afterthought.

PoE & Structured Cabling

Power-over-Ethernet simplifies camera and access-terminal wiring; structured cabling keeps larger buildings organised and serviceable.

Fiber & Network Backbone

For larger sites, fiber and a properly planned network backbone keep data moving reliably between buildings or floors.

UPS Backup Power

Battery backup keeps critical systems — recording, access control — running through short power interruptions.

Ongoing Reliability

Remote Viewing & Preventive Maintenance

Every installation includes mobile app setup for remote viewing of your own system. Where a property needs active remote monitoring (someone watching on your behalf), that's a separate arrangement we can discuss. Either way, technology only stays reliable with upkeep — which is the whole logic behind our AMC maintenance plans: scheduled inspections that catch drift in storage, wiring and sensor calibration before it becomes a failure.

This page describes our general technology approach. For pricing-free tier details on ongoing support, see our Maintenance (AMC) plans.

FAQ

Technology Questions

What is LPR and which projects use it?
LPR (licence plate recognition) automatically reads a vehicle's plate to open a barrier gate without a card or remote. It suits factories, condos or commercial carparks with regular vehicle traffic where manual entry slows things down.
What does "AI-enabled CCTV" actually mean?
Modern CCTV cameras and NVRs from brands like Hikvision and Dahua include built-in AI detection features — such as line-crossing alerts, intrusion zones, and vehicle/person classification — that reduce false alerts compared to older motion-only detection. We configure these features as part of system design where the hardware supports them.
Can you integrate systems from different brands together?
In many cases yes, particularly when systems support standard protocols or app-level integration. We assess compatibility during the site survey and advise honestly where integration isn't practical.
Do you provide remote monitoring, not just remote viewing?
Our standard installations provide remote viewing (checking footage or status via app). Active remote monitoring (someone watching on your behalf) is a separate service arrangement — ask us if this is something your property needs.
