HJ SECURITY · KUCHING & SARAWAK

Music in every zone, announcements when you need them.

Background music and PA for restaurants, cafés, hotels and shops in Kuching. HJ plans speaker zones, volume control and paging, so each area gets the right sound and staff can make an announcement without disturbing the whole premises.

THE STARTING POINT

What makes background music work in a business.

Zone the space, not just the room

A dining area, a counter and an outdoor seating area do not need the same volume. Separate zones let each area be set on its own.

Announcements that cut through

A paging microphone can announce over the music in chosen zones. Where the equipment supports it, the music lowers while the announcement is made.

Simple for the staff who use it

Staff need one clear way to pick the source, change the volume and switch zones on or off. Labelled controls and a short handover replace guesswork.

SYSTEMS & SCOPE

Sound for each type of premises.

Restaurants, hotels and shops use the same building blocks in different ways. These pages cover the speakers, zones and the sites they serve.

Planning that fits the premises.

New fit-out

  • Provide the floor plan and the ceiling type for each area.
  • Mark the zones and the spots where staff will make announcements.
  • Agree the control position and cable routes before ceilings are closed.

Existing premises

  • Describe the problem: too loud near the counter, too quiet at the back or music stuck on one volume.
  • HJ checks the speakers, amplifier, cabling and settings before recommending changes.
  • Speakers that work and suit the new layout can stay in use.

USEFUL ANSWERS

Background music and PA questions, answered.

Do you supply the music?

No. HJ installs the speakers, amplifier and controls. The business chooses its music source and arranges any public-performance licence it needs.

Can different areas play at different volumes?

Yes. Zones are set up so the dining area, counter, lobby and outdoor seating can each have their own level.

Can staff make announcements over the music?

Yes, through a paging microphone in chosen zones. Whether the music lowers automatically during an announcement depends on the equipment, and is confirmed in the quotation.

Can the music switch on and off automatically?

Opening and closing times can be scheduled where the controller supports it. This is agreed during planning.

Can you improve a PA system we already have?

Share the symptoms and the equipment you have. HJ checks the speakers, amplifier, cabling and settings first, then agrees repair, adjustment or replacement.

Do you offer a free site survey?

Yes. Site surveys for new installations are free. After the survey HJ confirms the scope and the quotation.

Share the premises type, the areas you want covered and who will run the system. We will review the requirements and confirm the next step.
