Satellite Internet

Starlink Installation in Kuching & Sarawak

Dish mounting, alignment and network integration done properly — for the homes, factories and remote sites where fiber or 4G just doesn't reach reliably.

What It Is

Installation, Not Just a Box on the Roof

Starlink brings internet connectivity to locations where fiber or reliable 4G/5G isn't practical — but getting a stable connection depends on where and how the dish is mounted. We assess your roofline and surroundings for a clear view of the sky, mount and align the dish properly, run cabling neatly to your router location, and integrate it into your existing network.

  • Site survey for sky visibility and obstructions
  • Secure dish mounting and alignment
  • Cable routing and network integration

Who Needs This

  • Homes and factories in areas without reliable fiber or 4G
  • Businesses wanting backup connectivity for critical systems
  • Construction sites and remote compounds needing temporary internet

Why It Matters Here

Built for Sarawak's Outlying Areas

Reliable internet isn't a given everywhere in Sarawak — and it's not just about streaming or browsing.

Remote Homes & Longhouses

Properties well outside fiber coverage areas, including Samarahan, Serian, Bau, Lundu, Sri Aman, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, where satellite internet can be the most practical option.

Your Security System Needs Internet Too

A CCTV or alarm system is far less useful if there's no reliable connection to notify you remotely — Starlink can keep your security systems reachable even where wired options fall short.

Business Continuity

Some businesses add Starlink as backup connectivity alongside their main line, so an outage on one doesn't take down phones, POS or security monitoring entirely.

Our Approach

Installed Properly, Integrated With Your Network

A Starlink dish propped against a wall or laid flat on a roof rarely performs as well as one properly mounted and aligned after a real site assessment. We check for obstructions — trees, other roofs, overhangs — before recommending a mounting position, then handle the cabling and connect it into your existing router or WiFi setup so the rest of your property gets coverage the same way it would from a normal fiber line.

What We Check

  • Line-of-sight to the sky from potential mounting points
  • Secure, weatherproof mounting for Sarawak's rain and wind
  • Cable run from dish to router location
  • Integration with existing WiFi access points if needed

We Install — We Don't Sell the Kit

HJ Security provides the installation service: site assessment, mounting, alignment, cabling and network setup. The Starlink hardware itself is purchased separately through Starlink's own app or website. If your property also needs WiFi distribution once the connection is in, see our WiFi & Network installation page.

FAQ

Starlink Installation Questions

Do you supply the Starlink kit, or just install it?
We provide professional installation — mounting, alignment, cabling and network integration. The Starlink hardware itself is purchased directly through Starlink's own app or website; we handle the physical installation and setup once you have the kit.
Why would I need Starlink instead of normal home WiFi or fiber?
Starlink is a satellite internet option for locations where fiber or reliable 4G/5G coverage isn't available or practical — common in more rural or outlying parts of Sarawak. It can also serve as backup connectivity for a business that can't afford an internet outage.
Does the dish need a clear view of the sky?
Yes — Starlink needs a relatively unobstructed view of the sky to maintain a stable connection. We assess your roofline, trees and surrounding structures during the site survey and recommend the best mounting position before installation.
Can Starlink be integrated with my existing home or office network?
Yes — we can connect the Starlink router into your existing network setup, including WiFi access points, so it distributes through your property the same way a normal fiber connection would.
Can Starlink be installed at a construction site or temporary location?
Yes — this is a common use case for remote work sites needing internet before permanent infrastructure is in place. Mounting options can be adapted for temporary setups.
